Who we are

ForgeDB is a database service operated under the domain forgedb.name.ng. If you have questions about this policy, reach us at quantumx.helpdesk@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • A username you choose
  • If you sign in with GitHub or Google: your profile name, email, and account ID from that provider. We do not store your GitHub or Google password.

When you use the service, we log:

  • API requests made to your databases (operation type, table name, status code, response time)
  • Basic usage counts (reads, writes, storage)

We do not collect your IP address for tracking purposes. We do not run analytics scripts or advertising trackers on this site.

Your data

The data you store in ForgeDB is yours. We store it in a private repository that only you and the ForgeDB system can access. We do not read, sell, share, or process your stored data for any purpose other than serving it back to you.

Your data is stored in a private, encrypted-at-rest repository. Access requires authentication at all times.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Authenticate you when you log in
  • Show you your own usage stats and logs
  • Send you service-related emails (account changes, billing for Pro, critical outages)
  • Enforce plan limits and prevent abuse

We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in. We do not sell your information to anyone.

Cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you logged in to the dashboard. It is a signed, httpOnly cookie that expires after 7 days. We do not use third-party cookies or tracking cookies.

Third-party services

ForgeDB uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Cloudflare: handles DNS, CDN, and our edge worker. Cloudflare may log request metadata per their own privacy policy.
  • Render: hosts our API servers. Render may retain server logs per their own policy.
  • GitHub: if you sign in with GitHub, your login is processed by GitHub. You can revoke this at any time from your GitHub settings.
  • Google: if you sign in with Google, your login is processed by Google. You can revoke this at any time from your Google account settings.
  • Paystack: handles payment processing for Pro subscriptions. We do not store card details — Paystack handles that directly.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account:

  • Your profile and login credentials are deleted immediately
  • Your stored database data is deleted within 7 days
  • API logs are deleted within 30 days

Test databases auto-wipe every 30 days regardless of account status.

Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Update your name, email, or password from the Settings page
  • Export your data by reading it through your own API keys
  • Delete your account from Settings. This deletes all your data.
  • Contact us at quantumx.helpdesk@gmail.com to request a full data export or ask any privacy question

Children

ForgeDB is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will post an announcement in the dashboard and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of ForgeDB after a policy change means you accept the updated policy.
